New assistant managers, junior officers join SBC orientation
Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC) took a key step to strengthen its workforce by hosting a three-day orientation programme for its newly appointed Assistant Managers and Junior Officers.
Nazma Mobarek, Secretary, Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, attended as the chief guest. Mohammad Joynul Bari, former Secretary to the Government and Chairman of SBC, was the guest of Honour. Saeed Kutub, Additional Secretary, Financial Institutions Division, joined as a special guest.
The session was chaired by Md Harun-or-Rashid, Additional Secretary to the Government and Managing Director of SBC. General Managers, Deputy General Managers, and Assistant General Managers from all SBC departments were also present.

The programme, held from 12 to 14 August 2025, introduced recruits to SBC's mandate, governance, underwriting and claims processes, compliance, risk management, and customer service standards. By providing this foundational knowledge, the initiative is poised to empower new officers to contribute effectively from the outset.
