MINISO launches new outlet at Meridian Kohinoor City in Chattogram
Global lifestyle brand MINISO has launched its third outlet in Chattogram at Meridian Kohinoor City in Dampara on Sunday.
Located on the ground floor of the shopping mall, the outlet was inaugurated by BGMEA Director and MINISO Bangladesh Director Shah Rayeed Chowdhury.
The opening ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by prayers. To mark the launch, MINISO is offering a 20% discount at the new store from 8–10 February, 2026.
Speaking at the event, Shah Rayeed Chowdhury said MINISO has gained strong popularity in Bangladesh, reflecting its success in many countries worldwide. He attributed the brand's growth to quality products, attractive designs and affordable pricing, which have made it a preferred choice among middle- and upper-middle-income consumers.
"MINISO has already built a strong customer base in Chattogram. Considering the local demand, we have opened this new outlet," he said, adding that the company plans to open seven more stores in Chattogram, positioning the port city as MINISO's second hub in Bangladesh.
Sakif Ahmed Salam, a special guest at the event, welcomed the opening of another MINISO outlet in Chattogram. He said the internationally renowned brand would be able to serve local customers more closely and efficiently.
Others present at the ceremony included MINISO Bangladesh Director Chowdhury Asifuzzaman, franchise partner Tahsin Ferdousi, Mega Mart Managing Director Abdul Hannan, Meridian Group Director Akib Kamal, and Asian Group Director Wasif Ahmed Salam.
MINISO currently operates more than 8,000 stores across 112 countries. The brand began operations in Bangladesh in 2017, aiming to provide quality lifestyle products at affordable prices.
