MIE Pathways celebrates 148 foundation programme graduates

MIE Pathways celebrated 148 students who completed the NCUK International Foundation Year programme at its 2026 graduation ceremony in Dhaka.

Graduates rose from 32 in 2025 to 148 this year, reflecting growing interest among Bangladeshi students in international higher education pathway programmes, according to a press release.

The ceremony was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre and brought together graduates, family members, educators, academic leaders, education partners, and sector representatives.

NCUK Chief Academic Officer Suzanne Bartlett attended the ceremony as chief guest.

MH Global Group Chairman Captain AKM Golam Kibria, Chief Executive Officer Golam Mortuza, Chief Commercial Officer Zahirul Islam and Project Director Neil Upton also attended.

The event included certificate presentations, student speeches and academic recognition, celebrating the graduates' progression to universities in different countries.

After completing the foundation programme, graduates are progressing to universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, European countries and Malaysia.

Launched in Bangladesh in 2024, MIE Pathways currently operates branches in Dhanmondi, Uttara, Chattogram and Sylhet.

Its nine-month International Foundation Year programme prepares students with O Level, AS Level, A Level or HSC qualifications for undergraduate study abroad by developing their academic knowledge, English-language proficiency and study skills.

According to NCUK, UK NARIC has benchmarked the programme as comparable to the UK GCE A Level standard. At the same time, Ofqual in England regulates it, and UK ENIC has validated its equivalency.

Eligible students can progress to more than 80 NCUK partner universities in several countries.

NCUK said its partners included 10 universities ranked among the world's top 100 and 21 among the top 200 in the 2026 QS World University Rankings.
