Midland Bank promotes Nazmul Huda Sarkar to DMD
Midland Bank PLC has promoted Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar to the position of Deputy Managing Director (DMD), effective 1 January 2026.
Prior to his promotion, Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar served as Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the bank. He brings more than 27 years' experience in technology leadership, digital transformation and enterprise systems, with a focus on secure, cost-effective and customer-centric service delivery.
During his tenure as CTO, he played a key role in shaping and executing the bank's technology roadmap, strengthening core platforms and digital channels, and enhancing operational resilience through scalable and secure technology initiatives.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Mutual Trust Bank PLC, where he was involved in the bank's transition to a new digital platform. He also gained international experience in Japan, serving as a Senior Application Engineer at Match.com, and working with organisations including Fujitsu and Nissan Motor. In Bangladesh, he previously worked with IDLC Finance PLC and National Life Insurance, building expertise across enterprise technology and large-scale service delivery.
Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar completed his BSc (Hons) and MSc in Electronics and Computer Science at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
