ICAB Dhaka committee holds ramadan cultural festival
The Dhaka Regional Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) recently organised the "Ramadan Celebration and Islamic Cultural Festival 2026" for the second consecutive year, drawing more than 260 attendees, including children of ICAB members and current ICAB students.
The programme featured Quran recitation, Hamd and Naat, Islamic cultural performances, Ramadan-themed quizzes and various competitions, helping strengthen religious and cultural awareness among the younger generation.
Renowned Islamic scholar Shaykh Ahmedullah attended the programme as chief guest. He highlighted the core teachings of Ramadan – self-restraint, morality and humanitarian values – and stressed the importance of instilling these virtues in children from an early age.
He appreciated the initiative, saying such programmes contribute positively to character-building and moral development among young participants.
Among others present at the event were ICAB President NKA Mobin, FCA; Vice Presidents Suraya Jannat, FCA, Rokonuzzaman, FCA, and Moniruzzaman, FCA; and Dhaka Regional Committee Chairman Mahmudur Rahman, FCA.
In his welcome address, Mahmudur Rahman said the Dhaka Regional Committee would continue to undertake such initiatives in future with a strong focus on nurturing the younger generation.
NKA Mobin praised the initiative and said the programme had further strengthened organisational engagement with members and their families.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes among winners and participants, followed by a special prayer seeking peace, prosperity and welfare for the country and the nation.
