Mercantile Bank shifts Subarna Char Branch to new location
Mercantile Bank PLC has relocated its Subarna Char Branch to a new address as of 1 March 2026, aiming to provide enhanced banking services from more spacious premises.
Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of the bank, virtually inaugurated the relocated branch by cutting a ribbon during a ceremony at the bank's head office.
Deputy managing directors Md Zakir Hossain, Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha, Dr Md Zahid Hossain, Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD, and Shah Md Sohel Khurshid attended the event. Members of the senior management team and other senior officials were also present.
At the branch premises in Noakhali, Md Aliullah, head of branches division and senior vice-president, Mohammad Salah Uddin, head of Cumilla zonal office, and Nizam Uddin, head of Subarna Char Branch, attended the programme along with bank officials, customers, and local businesspeople, including Abdullah Mia, Md Helal Uddin, and Nijam Uddin Faruk.
The new address of the Subarna Char Branch is Anowara-Ismail Tower, Haris Chowdhury Bazar, Charjubilee-5, Charjabbar, Noakhali, according to the release.
