Mercantile Bank marks international women’s day at head office
Mercantile Bank PLC observed International Women's Day 2026 under the theme, "Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls."
To mark the occasion, a commemorative meeting was held at the bank's head office on Saturday, 8 March 2026. Female branch managers, executives, and officers of the bank took part in the programme.
Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of Mercantile Bank, attended as chief guest and greeted female employees with flowers.

Deputy managing directors Md Zakir Hossain, Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha, Dr Md Zahid Hossain, Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD, and Shah Md Sohel Khurshid were also present at the event.
Among others, SEVPs Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, Md Abdul Halim, and Md Abdul Awal; SVP and Moghbazar branch head Lopita Mannan; and VP and Asad Gate branch head Farhana Hosain joined the programme.
The bank said similar events were also held at its branches across the country.
