Major General Moazzem Hossain joins BEPZA as Executive Chairman

Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil, has joined the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) as its eighteenth Executive Chairman.
He has assumed office at the Chief Adviser's Office as the new head of BEPZA, succeeding Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BSP, ndc, psc.
Before taking charge at BEPZA, Major General Moazzem Hossain served as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Seventh Infantry Division and Area Commander, Barishal Area.
Commissioned in the Corps of Artillery of the Bangladesh Army on 20 December 1992, he has held several key command, staff and instructional appointments throughout his distinguished military career. He commanded two artillery brigades and two artillery regiments, and also served as Platoon Commander at Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), Colonel Staff of a division and Director, Budget at Army Headquarters.
A graduate of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur, Major General Hossain has completed both the National Defence Course (ndc) and the Armed Forces War Course (afwc) at National Defence College (NDC), Mirpur, Dhaka.
He has also received advanced military training abroad, including at Nanjing Artillery Academy in China and the School of Artillery in Pakistan. Academically accomplished, he holds an MPhil from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Dhaka.
