Lizol launches ramadan mosque cleaning campaign for third year
Lizol, a disinfectant floor and surface cleaner brand, has launched its mosque cleaning campaign 'Porichchonnatay Pobitrota' ('Purity in Cleanliness') for the third consecutive year during Ramadan.
Under the initiative, the company stated that it has conducted special cleaning drives at more than 100 mosques across the country, including in Dhaka. The month-long campaign was inaugurated at the national mosque, Baitul Mukarram, with Lizol team members, volunteers, and religious leaders supporting the activities.
Lizol stated that mosque attendance rises during Ramadan and, while many mosques in Dhaka are carpeted, many outside the capital still have bare floors. The company added that the campaign aims to support a hygienic environment conducive to worship.
Mosques also remain active during iftar and sehri throughout Ramadan, increasing the need to maintain cleanliness, the company added. As part of the programme, Lizol stated that it is providing each participating mosque with floor-cleaning solutions sufficient for one year. The company is also distributing Ramadan calendar boards and hygiene kits to participating mosques.
Sabrin Maruf Tinni, Head of Marketing at Reckitt Bangladesh, stated, 'During the holy month of Ramadan, devoted worshippers spend more time in mosques in prayer and devotion. A clean environment enhances their comfort and concentration in worship. Keeping this in mind, we have undertaken mosque cleaning activities across the country. We will continue such initiatives in the future to create a positive impact in society.'
Lizol stated that encouraging hygiene in both homes and public spaces is part of its social responsibility, adding that the initiative reflects that commitment. The company added that the product is available in five variants in the market.
