Hult prize at IUB holds start-up workshop for finalists at grameenphone
On 17 February, Hult Prize at IUB organised 'Innovation for Impact: A Startup Workshop' for its finalists at Grameenphone, which it described as the first exclusive, industry-hosted workshop of its kind in Bangladesh for Hult Prize finalists.
Grameenphone joined as the strategic partner, while the workshop was presented by MR Education and powered by Cinnabon Bangladesh. The programme was supported by the HRM Department of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and was designed exclusively for finalists of Hult Prize at IUB.
The session featured Tazriba Khurshid, Head of Digital Inclusion at Grameenphone, and Ashfaque Hossain, Employer Brand Expert at Grameenphone. They shared insights on innovation for impact, start-up readiness, and building sustainable business models in a corporate context.
Organisers stated that a key highlight was the hands-on feedback provided to each finalist team. The speakers reviewed the start-up concepts and offered guidance on value proposition development, scalability, and long-term impact. The organisers added that the interactive format helped finalists refine ideas, address challenges, and gain actionable direction as they progressed in the competition.
