BIID Foundation, NAF Bangladesh sign MOU to boost nutrition security
BIID Foundation and Nutritious Agrifuture Bangladesh Limited (NAF Bangladesh) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening youth engagement, enhancing nutrition awareness, and improving the availability, affordability, and accessibility of safe and nutritious food across Bangladesh.
The organisations stated that the agreement is intended to support efforts to address malnutrition through sustainable, market-led approaches that benefit young people and local communities.
The MoU was signed by Md Wahidul Amin, Chief Executive Officer of NAF Bangladesh, and Md Shahid Uddin Akbar, Chief Executive Officer of BIID Foundation, on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the collaboration, the two organisations stated that they will work on youth leadership and entrepreneurship in nutrition, nutrition education and behaviour change awareness, and market-driven food system solutions. They also plan to expand the Nutrition Club network nationwide, organise the International Nutrition Olympiad (INO), and implement initiatives to improve access to safe and nutritious food.
BIID Foundation and NAF Bangladesh stated that they aim to leverage their respective strengths to support inclusive growth, create opportunities for youth, and contribute to a healthier and more nutrition-secure Bangladesh.
