IUBAT and Academy of Garments Technology sign MoU

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh to strengthen cooperation in academic and professional development.
The MoU was signed by Professor Dr Mozaffar Alam Chowdhury, Dean of the College of Business Administration at IUBAT, and Dr Henry Soo, Strategic Partner of the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh, on behalf of their respective institutions.
The signing ceremony was attended by IUBAT Treasurer Professor Selina Nargis and Registrar Professor Dr Md Momtazur Rahman, alongside coordinators, faculty members, directors, and officials from both organisations.
The agreement outlines collaboration in key areas including participation in the BD Case Competition, joint research and development activities, training programmes, workshops, capacity-building initiatives, internship and job placement opportunities, and academic study tours. Further cooperative initiatives may be developed under mutual agreement.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr Mozaffar Alam Chowdhury emphasised the need for strong academia–industry linkages to enrich student learning and enhance professional readiness. Dr Henry Soo expressed enthusiasm for building practical platforms that empower Bangladesh's youth with essential industry skills.
The partnership is expected to open new pathways for innovation, skill development, and academic excellence, contributing to national progress through education–industry integration.
