ISU holds workshop on faculty professional development
International Standard University (ISU) held a day-long faculty workshop on Wednesday at its Mohakhali campus to enhance skills and professionalism.
The event was arranged by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of ISU.
The workshop, titled "Professional Development for Teachers", was inaugurated by ISU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Awal Khan. Highlighting the importance of training, he said: "There is no alternative to training for teachers' development. Teachers must play a vital role in shaping students' future lives. This type of workshop will help them strengthen their educational and professional skills while also learning about the standards of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council."
He also noted that ISU is designing curricula in line with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) following guidelines from the University Grants Commission.
The session was chaired by Professor Dr Ekramul Hoque, Director of IQAC, and attended by ISU Treasurer Prof. HTM Quader Newaz, Dean of Business Studies Professor Dr Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of Engineering and Technology Prof. Md. Abul Kashem, and Additional Director of IQAC Dr. Monirul Hasan Masum.
The workshop focused on promoting professional growth and ensuring quality assurance in higher education, aiming to deliver global-standard learning at ISU.
