Rydo debuts electric scooters at Dhaka International Trade Fair
RYDO, the electric scooter brand of RFL, has made its debut at the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF), showcasing eco-friendly scooters at affordable prices for the first time.
The company is displaying nine electric scooter models with modern designs at Pavilion 23 in the main building of the fair.
One of the key attractions at the RYDO stall is an electric scooter priced at Tk49,000. Although the market price of the RYDO Leaf model is Tk55,000, a special discount of Tk6,000 is being offered during the fair. The model has attracted strong interest from young visitors owing to its design and competitive pricing.
Shariful Islam, Head of Marketing at RYDO, said that under the 'RYDO DITF Fest' campaign, the company is showcasing a range of electric scooters priced between Tk55,000 and Tk1,45,000.
'These scooters are receiving strong responses from customers with varying budgets and needs. During the fair, we are offering discounts of up to Tk14,000, along with free gifts and prize opportunities through surprise coupons. Pre-booking for the new e-scooters has also started at the fair,' he said.
Shariful Islam added that the BRTA-approved RYDO scooter series features modern design, powerful motors, and long-lasting battery backup, with a running cost of a maximum of 11 paisa per kilometre. 'Owing to their low operating cost and eco-friendly features, these scooters are emerging as a smart and sustainable transport solution for both urban and rural areas,' he said.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, Director (Marketing) of PRAN-RFL Group, said electric scooters have gained popularity globally as an affordable and environmentally friendly mode of transport. 'The electric vehicle market in Bangladesh is also growing rapidly, which inspired us to introduce RYDO scooters. RFL's RYDO e-scooters can provide a practical solution to make urban and rural transport easier, more comfortable, and affordable,' he said.
