Indonesian Embassy boosts trade partnership with Bangladesh

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Dhaka successfully facilitated the participation of around 40 Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), held from 15–19 October 2025 at ICE BSD, Tangerang. The initiative was part of the Embassy's ongoing efforts to strengthen Indonesia–Bangladesh economic cooperation and showcase Indonesia's export potential across multiple sectors.
During this year's expo, four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Indonesian and Bangladeshi business entities, covering collaboration in textiles, agro-based products, pharmaceuticals, and digital trade. These agreements are expected to expand trade opportunities and foster long-term private sector partnerships between the two nations.
The participation of Bangladeshi entrepreneurs highlighted their strong interest in exploring Indonesia's growing product diversity and investment prospects. The delegation engaged in business-to-business (B2B) meetings, product sourcing, and direct networking with leading Indonesian exporters.
"Bangladesh is one of Indonesia's most important trading partners in South Asia," said H.E. [Ambassador's Name], Ambassador of Indonesia to Bangladesh. "The Embassy remains committed to ensuring that both Indonesian and Bangladeshi businesses benefit from stronger cooperation, sustainable partnerships, and increased trade volume."
The Embassy's Economic Affairs Team coordinated closely with the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia and other stakeholders to organise logistics, matchmaking sessions, and promotional activities during the event.
Now in its 40th edition, the Trade Expo Indonesia continues to serve as the country's flagship international trade platform, promoting high-quality products, investment opportunities, and innovation to global markets. The active participation and successful deals at TEI 2025 reaffirm the deepening economic ties and friendship between Indonesia and Bangladesh.
