Hop Lun’s shecan champions workplace well-being and inclusivity

Leading global apparel manufacturer Hop Lun has officially launched its new SHECAN initiative across multiple factories in Bangladesh, uniting health, development, and family support programmes under one inclusive platform designed to benefit 30,000 employees.
With women comprising approximately 80% of Hop Lun's workforce in Bangladesh, the #SHECAN initiative aims to create a safe, supportive, and empowering work environment for all employees, regardless of gender.
At the heart of the programme are a range of services, including free medical camps, factory-based trainings, and enhanced childcare centres with learning corners and caregiver resources. Hop Lun has also expanded its factory clinics, medical supply access, and universal health literacy activities to strengthen worker well-being.
As part of #SHECAN, the company is introducing a 'Worker Scholarship Pathway' to support employees' educational aspirations, alongside life skills training programmes delivered in collaboration with external partners.
Speaking about the initiative, Nishantha Mohottige, Bangladesh Country Head of Hop Lun, said,
"With this initiative, we aim to give our employees a workplace where they feel at home and safe. As always, we are committed to building a workplace where every employee, regardless of role or gender, can work with health, prosperity, and confidence."
The #SHECAN initiative reaffirms Hop Lun's long-standing commitment to inclusive growth and worker empowerment, setting a strong example for the apparel sector in promoting holistic employee well-being and sustainable development.
