Emirates appoints country manager for Bangladesh

Emirates has appointed Talal Al Gergawi as Country Manager for Bangladesh, effective August 1, 2025.
He will lead operations in Bangladesh, driving commercial growth and enhancing Emirates' presence in the country.
This leadership change is part of Emirates' global management rotation strategy, aimed at supporting its commercial objectives across the West Asia and Indian Ocean (WAIO) region.
In his new role, Talal will report to Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations – WAIO. He succeeds Jaber Mohamed, who has been appointed Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Bangladesh is a key market for Emirates, and as the airline celebrates 39 years of operations in the country, Talal's diverse experience in various global outstations will play a key role in further strengthening its operations. His responsibilities will include expanding both online and offline sales, as well as nurturing relationships with Emirates' network of travel trade partners, which are integral to the airline's ongoing growth and customer outreach in Bangladesh.
Talal brings a wealth of experience, having previously held several significant positions within Emirates, including Commercial Support Manager – Cambodia, Manager – Cambodia (2019), District Manager – Dhahran & KSA Eastern, and, most recently, Manager – Zimbabwe since 2022.
Emirates began its operations in Bangladesh in 1986, and currently operates 21 weekly flights from Dhaka, offering seamless connectivity to nearly 140 destinations across six continents via Dubai. Emirates remains the only international airline in Bangladesh to offer a luxurious First Class experience, underscoring its commitment to delivering world-class service to travelers from Bangladesh.
With Talal Al Gergawi at the helm, Emirates aims to continue enhancing its services and reinforcing its leadership in the Bangladeshi market.
