BUFT partners with firms to boost career support
By forging strategic partnerships with four leading organisations, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) aims to set a new benchmark in academia–industry collaboration, student support, and skills development, marking a significant step forward in its mission to empower the future workforce.
The memoranda were formalised with Mojumder Group, Grameen Health Limited (Shukhee), E-Zone HRM Limited and Oeti Bangladesh at a ceremony in the BoT Conference Room at BUFT on 17 May 2026, the university said in a statement.
The partnerships aim to boost industry engagement, support internships and career placements, expand healthcare, and foster training and research.
Signatories included Mr Syed Mohd. Sajjad, Managing Director of Mojumder Group; Dr Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, CEO of Grameen Health Limited (Shukhee); Mr Mominul Ahsan, Managing Director of E-Zone HRM Limited; and Mr Mohiuddin Sheek, on behalf of Oeti Bangladesh.
Mr Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), represented BUFT at the signing.
The event was attended by BUFT leadership, deans, departmental heads, senior officials, and faculty.
Mr Malick Shamim Akhtar, Senior Coordinator of the Career Development Centre (CDC), also attended.
Speakers underscored the role of academia–industry partnerships in enhancing employability, fostering innovation and advancing sustainable development.
Representatives of partner organisations reaffirmed their commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for students and professionals.
