BADC moves to tighten financial discipline
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation directed senior officials to enhance transparency, accountability, and financial discipline, with a focus on the supply of agricultural inputs to farmers.
BADC held a meeting at Krishi Bhaban on 17 May 2026 to increase transparency and financial discipline.
The meeting was attended by the wing heads and department heads of the organisation.
Chairman Md Azizul Islam urged all staff to take more responsibility for supporting agriculture and farmers.
He said BADC works to supply farmers with essential agricultural inputs more effectively.
To improve seed quality for farmers, BADC has issued instructions on seed production, processing, preservation, and distribution. All must comply.
The chairman told officials to ensure timely fertiliser supply, sell fertiliser at government prices, file arrival reports in accordance with policy, maintain registers accurately, and monitor sales to prevent illegal stockpiling and smuggling.
He ordered that all activities follow PPR 2025 and the financial rules for transparency and accountability.
