Bkash toll system introduced at 14 major bridge plazas
To make road travel more convenient and reduce traffic congestion, the Roads and Highways Department has introduced an automatic toll collection system at 14 major bridge toll plazas across the country.
Under the system, vehicle users can avoid long queues at toll booths and pay tolls automatically through their bKash accounts.
After registering a vehicle in the bKash app, toll charges are deducted automatically whenever the vehicle passes through any of the designated toll plazas. An RFID sticker attached to the vehicle's windscreen is scanned at the toll point, triggering the automatic deduction of the applicable toll from the user's bKash account. This allows vehicles to pass through toll plazas smoothly without stopping.

The toll will be deducted even if the customer is not inside the vehicle at the time of crossing. Payment will also be processed even if mobile internet is unavailable during the crossing. Once the toll is deducted, the customer will receive a notification on the registered mobile number.
Automatic toll payment is now available at Shahid Mayez Uddin Bridge in Narsingdi; Meghna-Gomoti Bridge Meghna Toll Plaza; Meghna-Gomoti Bridge Gomoti Toll Plaza; Third Shitolokkha Bridge; Sayed Nazrul Islam Bridge in Bhairab; Charsindur Toll Plaza in Narsingdi; Madhumati Bridge Toll Plaza in Kalna; Karnaphuli Bridge Toll Plaza in Chattogram; Khan Jahan Ali Bridge in Khulna; Lalon Shah Bridge in Kushtia; Hatikamrul-Banpara New Road in Natore; Hazrat Shah Paran Bridge Toll Plaza in Sylhet; Lebukhali Bridge in Patuakhali; and the 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge in Bekutia, Pirojpur.
Registering a vehicle through the bKash app is simple. Users need to select the "Toll" option on the home screen, click on "Register a Vehicle", and provide the required information. The registration will be completed after entering the bKash PIN. Customers can also cancel the registration at any time through the app.
