Amanat Shah fabrics launches fashion in Dhaka
Amanat Shah Fabrics Limited has launched 'Amanat Shah Fabrics Fashion Week – 01', a three-day event aimed at showcasing Bangladesh's textile manufacturing and design capabilities.
The programme will continue until 18 February 2026 at Trend Atelier by ASFL (House 232, Road 3, Baridhara DOHS, Dhaka-1206).
On the opening day, organisers said the country's textile sector was presented through a blend of global fashion trend-focused showcases and displays of modern production technologies, highlighting the industry's forward-looking approach.
Curated with the Spring/Summer 2027 season in focus, the event is positioned as a strategic platform to present Bangladesh's fabric manufacturing capacity and design creativity in line with international market demand. Organisers said approximately 450 types of fabrics are being exhibited.
The organisers also highlighted a focus on 'trend alignment', analysing global market colours, textures, designs, and consumer preferences to develop fabrics accordingly. Innovations on display include embroidery (cutwork), corduroy revival, lightweight summer-friendly textures, placement prints, and sustainable fabric developments.
Organisers said the event is also designed as a business-to-business networking platform, offering opportunities for engagement with international brands and buyer representatives, sample reviews, and discussions on future orders. The company said it plans to hold fashion weeks regularly, in two seasons each year, to present upcoming trends, designs, and production capabilities to international buyers.
Ahsan Habib (Robi), Manager, Research and Development Department, said, 'This fashion week serves as a strategic platform for us to present new designs, advanced fabric development, and our future production roadmap in alignment with international trends.'
Rezaul Karim, Director, Amanat Shah Fabrics Limited, said, 'At this fashion week, we are presenting several textile innovations that have not yet been formally unveiled in the international market. These are the outcomes of planned research and innovation driven by upcoming trends. Through this initiative, we are not only showcasing new collections—we aim to demonstrate that Bangladesh's textile industry is fully prepared for trend-driven and sustainable innovation. Such platforms will create long-term business opportunities within the industry and support the expansion of global partnerships.'
