Al-Arafah Islami Bank launches leadership and communication training for staff
A two-day training course titled 'Connect, Influence, Grow: Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Excellence' commenced at the bank's training institute on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, inaugurated the workshop as chief guest. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of leadership, effective communication, and interpersonal skills in banking, and urged participants to apply the learning at their workplaces to improve customer service, strengthen teamwork, and enhance the bank's image.
The workshop was presided over by Md Abdur Rahim Duary, Senior Executive Vice President and Principal of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBTI). Khondaker Zia Hasan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zia's Language Center, Canada, attended as the resource person.
Also present were Touhid Siddique, Senior Vice President; S M Zulkar Nayen, Senior Assistant Vice President; and Md Farhad Ul Alam, Assistant Vice President.
A total of 31 employees are participating. The training focuses on leadership development, communication skills, relationship-building, and confidence and influence techniques to improve workplace performance and customer service.
