As part of the "July March to Build The Nation" campaign, a regional march by National Citizen Party (NCP) across five districts in the Chattogram region will commence from the coastal city of Cox's Bazar tomorrow (19 July).

Central leaders of NCP are set to arrive in the city tonight (18 July) to lead the initiative.

SM Suja Uddin, joint member secretary of the NCP's central committee, confirmed that all preparations to welcome the NCP leaders have been completed in Cox's Bazar.

According to Suja Uddin, the NCP's Convener Nahid Islam, Chief Organiser (South) Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam, and central leader Tasnim Zara, along with other party leaders, will reach Cox's Bazar by tonight.

Around 10am tomorrow, they will march from the central bus terminal along the city's main road to Shaheed Daulat Ground at the Public Library, where a mass rally will be held.

Preparations for the rally are in their final stages, Suja Uddin said.

He added that people from various unions and upazilas across the district are planning to gather at the bus terminal to join the march.

"Just as the July movement had gained momentum from the outskirts of Cox's Bazar and entered the city, this march will follow a similar path. We expect the rally to draw a massive crowd," Suja Uddin said.

Emphasising Cox's Bazar's political vibrancy and its global stature, Suja Uddin further said, "We don't expect any incidents like what happened in Gopalganj. We have already met with the district's Superintendent of Police and other law enforcement officials, and we hope the programme will conclude peacefully. We seek full cooperation from the law enforcement agencies."

Omar Faruq, NCP's Cox's Bazar district organiser, said preparations have been made in all upazilas.

"The march, resembling the spirit of the July uprising, will begin from the bus terminal and culminate in a grand rally at Shaheed Daulat Ground," Faruq said.

He added that on their return journey, central leaders will make stops in Chakaria, Eidgaon, and Ramu upazilas to interact with locals and distribute leaflets.
