Noakhali-4 MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury has alleged that conspiracy is being hatched against Noakhali Awami League ahead of the historic 7 March. But the conspirators will not be successful to harm the party as it has a very strong position here.

The lawmaker made the remarks appearing on a Facebook live on Saturday afternoon.

He also urged the leaders and activists to attend the rally scheduled to be held at Sonapur College ground tomorrow, saying "We want to make the conspirators understand that NoakhaliAwami League is one and united."

To mark the historic 7th March, a number of programmes have been called in the district by different groups of Awami League.

Shahid Ullah Khan, mayor of Noakhali Municipality and general secretary to Awami League's Noakhali town unit, called a rally at the Maijdee Balur Math of the district town at 10 am.

On the other hand, Town Awami League President Abdul Wadud Pintu announced to hold a rally at the nearby playground of Sonapur College at 3 pm.

Meanwhile, Basurhat Municipality Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza called  a programme at the Zero Point of the municipality on Sunday morning,  which will be followed by a cultural programme in the evening.

At the same time, Companyganj Upazila Awami League in collaboration with other sub-ordinate bodies organised a programme at nearby Bir Uttam Nurul Haque Auditorium.

Tension has arisen among the locals centering the programmes as only few days have elapsed since the area witnessed deadly factional clashes.
