Police HQ launches 24/7 hotline to combat violence against women

Police Headquarters has launched a hotline service to take immediate action against violence against women, including aggressive behaviour, abusive remarks, harassment, and sexual harassment.
Complaints can be lodged through the hotline numbers if such incidents occur anywhere in the country, according to a press release signed by Assistant Inspector General (AIG) (Media and PR) Enamul Haque Sagar.
The hotline numbers are 01320-002001, 01320-002002, and 01320-002222. These will remain operational 24 hours a day.
Additionally, the Facebook page of the Police Cyber Support for Women continues to provide legal assistance and protection for women affected by cybercrime.
Bangladesh Police follows a zero-tolerance policy in preventing violence against women and children while maintaining law and order and combating crime, reads the release.
The force remains committed to taking appropriate legal action against perpetrators of such violence.
