Nephew held for killing aunt after being refused money for drugs in Rajshahi
Paba Police Station's OC says he has confessed to the crime

A man in Rajshahi allegedly killed his aunt yesterday evening (28 August) by slitting her throat after she refused to give him money for drugs.
Police later detained the suspected killer, identified as Rocky Islam, during a raid.
The incident took place in Chhoto Bhalam village under Paba upazila.
According to police, the victim, Afijan, a divorced woman, had been living at her elder brother's house for the past 20 years.
On the day of the incident, Rocky asked her for money. When she refused, he stabbed her throat several times with a knife, killing her on the spot, they added.
No one else was present in the house at the time. Afterwards, Rocky fled the scene.
Acting on a tip-off, police detained him from a garden behind the house and later sent Afijan's body to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital's morgue for autopsy.
Locals said Rocky has been addicted to drugs for a long time, which drove his parents to move to Rajshahi city and live in a rented house out of frustration.
They added that recently, his wife also divorced him and left with their child to live at her father's house.
The victim Afijan used to work as a housemaid to provide food for Rocky, they said.
Paba Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam said Rocky has confessed to the crime, adding that preparations are underway to lodge a case against him.
