Minister AQM Mozammel Haque mourns death of Imamul Kabir Shanto
Liberation War Affairs Minister AQM Mozammel Haque has expressed deep grief over the death Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology's founding chairman and heroic freedom fighter, Imamul Kabir Shanto.
In a condolence message today, the Minister sought forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In the message, the minister said, "Imamul Kabir Shanto was a heroic freedom fighter, a successful entrepreneur, an advocate of education and a long-time friend of mine. The death of a personality like him is an irreparable loss for the nation. His contribution towards the access to higher education and the great liberation war will be forever remembered."
The heroic freedom fighter Md Imamul Kabir Shanto died at the Combined Military Hospital this morning. He was the founder of a number of organisations including Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Sundarbans Courier Services (Pvt) Ltd and Shanto-Mariam Foundation.
