Law adviser condemns killing of judge's son in Rajshahi, orders swift action
Also instructed the police to arrest all those involved and to ensure a thorough investigation as soon as possible
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul has strongly condemned the brutal attack on the residence of Rajshahi Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahman, which left the judge's son, Taosif Rahman (Suman), dead and his wife, Tasmin Nahar, seriously injured.
Following the incident, Dr Nazrul instructed the police to arrest all those involved and to ensure a thorough investigation as soon as possible, according to an official release issued today (13 November).
In line with the directive, the concerned law enforcement agencies have already taken prompt action.
The government is closely monitoring the medical treatment of the injured Tasmin Nahar to ensure her proper care, while maintaining constant communication with the authorities at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Dr Nazrul expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and wished the injured a speedy recovery. He also affirmed that the government would take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of members of the judiciary and their families.
