Child’s body recovered from field in Rajshahi
Police suspect the boy may have been strangled with his pants belt.
Police recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy from a Napier grass field in the Dharmapur area under Kornohar police station in Rajshahi this morning (2 March).
The deceased, identified as Adib, had been missing since last evening (1 March) following the Tarawih prayers. When he did not return home, relatives began searching for him.
Locals and family members found his body in the field this morning and informed police.
Kornohar police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Police suspect the boy may have been strangled with his pants belt.
Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kornohar police station, said necessary legal steps would be taken if the family files a case.
