Joint forces arrest 2 with local weapons, bombs in Munshiganj
Sharp weapons, locally made bombs, motorcycle, two journalist ID cards, and Tk1 lakh among things recovered during the raid

A joint force consisting of members of the Bangladesh Army and police have arrested two individuals with illegal weapons, crude bombs, and foreign liquors, among other things, during a raid at Mollakandi Union in Munshiganj Sadar.
A press release issued by the district police this morning (9 March) identified the arrestees as Md Sifat Mallik, 25, and Md Nasir Sardar, 42.
The two-hour-long joint operation at the house of Milton Mallik, a suspect in multiple cases, in the union's Purbo Makhahati area started yesterday midnight and continued until 2am today, said Mohammad Kamran Hasan, additional superintendent of police of the district police, in the release.
According to the release, 14 locally-made sharp weapons, 34 cans of foreign liquor, one Suzuki motorcycle, two journalist ID cards, seven mobile phones, seven locally made crude bombs, two laptops, and Tk1 lakh in cash were recovered from Milton's residence.
However, Milton managed to flee the scene, said Kamran.
He said the two arrestees had been sued under narcotics and arms cases at Munshiganj Sadar Police Station.
