Fire breaks out at multi-storey building in Mirpur, brought under control after 1.5 hour

A fire that broke out at a multi-storey building in Mirpur in the capital was brought under control by the Fire Service after around one and a half hours.
The incident occurred at about 11pm last night (10 February) on the fourth floor of a ten-storey building in Mirpur Section 11. Two units of the Fire Service rushed to the scene and managed to contain the blaze.
The matter was confirmed by Shahjahan Islam, duty officer at the Fire Service control room.
He said the Fire Service received the report of the fire at 11:12pm. Two units were dispatched to the spot and brought the fire under control at 12:37am.
