Ctg gas cylinder blast: 2 succumbs to injuries at burn institute after 4 days

Two people injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a warehouse in Chattogram's Chandanaish upazila died early today (21 September) while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) in Dhaka, four days after the incident.
The deceased are Md Idris, 26, of Chandanaish upazila and Md Yusuf Ali, 32, Cox's Bazar upazila.
Confirming the matter, Idris's younger brother, Abu Talha, told The Business Standard, "My brother and another man have died. We are now making arrangements to bring the body home."
On the morning of 17 September, A cylinder warehouse in Chandanaish exploded, sparking a fire that left at least 10 people, including the owner and workers, severely burnt.
They were first admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
The other injured are shop owner Mahbubur Rahman, 45, Mohammad Akib, 17, Md Harun, 29, Md Kofil, 22, Md Riaz, 17, Md Sourav Rahman, 25, Md Liton, 28, and Md Saleh, 33. They are still receiving treatment at hospitals in Chattogram and Dhaka.
According to hospital sources, of them, Mahbubur and Riaz are still receiving treatment at the burn institute, as their condition is critical.
