Madrasah head teacher held for sexually abusing minor student in Ctg
The child further revealed that his teacher had abused him multiple times on previous occasions by intimidating him, incidents he had kept secret out of fear and social shame
Police have arrested a 28-year-old madrasa head teacher, identified as Al-Amin, on charges of repeatedly sexually abusing an 11-year-old student in Chattogram's Sandwip Upazila.
The victim is a first-grade student of the Nazera section at Markazul Nur Al Islamia Madrasa in the upazila.
The accused, Al-Amin, is the son of Md Sanaullah from the Khondillar Go Bari under Ward 2 of Maithbhanga Union under the Sandwip Police Station.
According to the police and the case statement, after the madrasah reopened on 6 June following the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, the child's mother asked him to return to his classes.
However, the child showed extreme reluctance to go back to the institution and burst into tears. At one stage, he disclosed the incidents of abuse to his family members, according to the statements.
Upon learning of this, the family informed local dignitaries and subsequently lodged a complaint with the Sandwip Police Station on 6 June, based on which the police formally recorded a case.
Citing the primary investigation, police said the victim stated that after the Asr prayers on the afternoon of 8 May, his head teacher, Al-Amin, called him into his bedroom adjacent to the madrasah's office room and forcibly abused him sexually.

When contacted, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sandwip Police Station Sujan Haldar said that following the complaint, police arrested the accused head teacher on the afternoon of the day the complaint was made.
The child's statement has been recorded, and the necessary medical examinations have been completed. The accused was sent to jail through a court yesterday (7 June), he said.
