At least 10 people suffered burn injuries when a fire triggered by a cylinder explosion broke out in a warehouse at Chandanaish upazila of Chattogram early this morning (17 September).
The incident took place around 6am at a gas cylinder shop in Bailtoli Union's Charpara area, fire service officials said.
On receiving information two units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control around 9am.
Meanwhile the injured were rescued and rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

The flames engulfed the warehouse and nearby workers, leaving ten people injured.
The injured were first taken to the emergency department of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) and later admitted to the hospital's Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit.
Doctors said four of them are in critical condition.
The injured have been identified as Mahbubur Rahman, 45, the shop owner; Md Saurav Rahman, 25; Mohammad Kofil, 22; Mohammad Riaz, 17; Mohammad Yunus, 26; Mohammad Akib, 17; Md Harun, 29; Mohammad Idris, 30; Mohammad Liton, 28; and Mohammad Saleh, 33.
ASI Alauddin Talukder of CMCH District Police Outpost confirmed that all ten are now undergoing treatment at CMCH's Unit-36 Burn and Plastic Surgery Ward, while the condition of four injured is critical.
