Man killed by robbers in Gazipur, 2 suspects held
A man has been killed in an attack by robbers on the Baroibari-Haturia Chala regional road in Kaliakair, Gazipur.
The incident took place around 9pm yesterday (20 ! March). Locals apprehended two of the robbers and handed them over to the police after a mass beating.
The deceased has been identified as Sajib Hossain, 38. He is the son of Muktar Ali of Gabchala area of Boali union in Kaliakair upazila. Sajib was in the business of supplying soil in the area.

The other person injured in the incident is named Royal Mia. He has been admitted to Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex.
Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliakair Police Station Riad Mahmud stated that one person had been killed and two suspects were in custody.
According to police and local sources, two individuals were traveling on a motorcycle when they were ambushed by a group of robbers near Haturia Chala in Kaliakair's Madhyapara Union. During the attack, one of the motorcycle riders was fatally injured. His companion's cries for help alerted local residents, prompting them to rush to the scene.
The robbers attempted to flee, but two of them were caught and beaten by the angry crowd before being handed over to the police.
