Man shot dead in front of Gulshan Police Plaza
Police said the victim had multiple criminal cases against him in several police stations including Gulshan and Banani

A young man was shot dead by a group of armed individuals in front of Gulshan Police Plaza in the capital last night (20 March).
The deceased, Sumon, was an employee at an internet service company in the Mohakhali TV Gate area.
Confirming the incident, Gulshan Police Station Inspector (investigation) Mukhlesur Rahman told TBS that Sumon had been severely injured in the shooting and was rushed to DMCH.
Sub-Inspector Maqsud, in charge of DMCH police outpost, said, Sumon was declared dead by a doctor from DMCH's emergency department at 11:10pm.
DMP Additional Commissioner Nazrul Islam told reporters that the deceased had multiple criminal cases against him in several police stations including Gulshan and Banani.
"The attackers fired five rounds during the murder. We suspect this was the result of an internal dispute," he added.
He said police were working to identify the attackers.
