Haji Salim shown arrested in business establishment grabbing case
The case was filed on August 28 of this year by the victim, Monirul Islam, a resident of the Lalbagh area

Haji Mohammad Salim, former Dhaka-7 lawmaker, has been shown arrested in a case involving the occupation and vandalism of the Deen & Sons business premises and the construction of the Mohammadia Tower in the Chawkbazar area of the capital.
Based on the plaintiff's application, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman issued the arrest order today (October 13).
The defendant's lawyer, Sree Prana Nath, confirmed this information. At around 11am, Salim was escorted to the court in handcuffs, with his hands tied behind his back, under strict police security.
After the hearing, the plaintiff's request for his arrest in the case of occupying and demolishing the business premises was approved, despite objections from the defense.
The case was filed on August 28 of this year by the victim, Monirul Islam, a resident of the Lalbagh area.
The case alleges that in August 2020, Salim occupied the plaintiff's business premises, Deen & Sons, and demolished it to construct the Mohammadia Tower.
