With critical injuries, Shahjahan was rushed to a local hospital. The on-duty doctors referred him to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Shilbrata, assistant sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost, said Shahjahan was brought to the hospital around 2:30pm where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Hasan said two other women – Dinara Begum and Tahrima Begum – also got injured in the attack.
