Arson attackers won’t be spared: Kamal
He said a peaceful situation has been prevailing in the country because the law enforcement agencies are now actively maintaining the law and order.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today issued a note of warning that stern action would be taken against those involved in arson attacks on buses in the city.
"None will be spared . . . those who are involved in violent activities as well as setting fire on buses," he told journalists at his official residence here.
The minister said BNP could not accept the by-polls results because its candidate was defeated in Dhaka-18 by-polls.
Law enforcement agencies have received some conversations among BNP leaders relating to the arson attacks on buses, which proved BNP's involvement in violent activities.

He said BNP wanted to make elections questionable wherever they were defeated, adding, "We have identified many who were involved in setting fire on buses through video footage and the CCTV footage and handed them over to the law enforcement agencies."

Meanwhile, 14 cases were filed and 32 accused were arrested so far in connection with the arson attacks on buses in the capital on November 12.
Of them, 28 arrestees were taken to remand. According to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, combustible materials were used in the arson attacks on buses.
Police have increased its patrols and number of checkposts in the capital to avert any untoward incidents.
