Travel ban imposed on ex-Jatrabari OC, wife
A court today imposed a travel ban on former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station Mazharul Islam and his wife Naila Khan over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, accepting a plea of the assistant director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Bishan Ghosh, the agency's Deputy Director and Public Relations Officer Akhtarul Islam confirmed.
The ACC, in its plea, said the commission is probing allegations of amassing illegal wealth against Mazharul and in the primary investigation it was learned that a huge amount of illegal wealth was amassed in the name of his wife Laila Khan.

"Travel ban should be imposed to deter them from fleeing the country," the ACC plea said.
