The bail petition was submitted today (10 July) to the court of Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman

Actress Apu Biswas has submitted her bail petition in connection with an attempted murder case filed over an alleged shooting incident during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Dhaka's Vatara area on July last year.
The bail petition was submitted today (10 July) to the court of Dhaka's Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Apu Biswas' lawyer Abul Bashar Kamrul said, "She had earlier secured a six-week anticipatory bail from the High Court on 2 June. A copy of the High Court's bail order was submitted to the concerned court."
He added, "Apu Biswas will formally surrender before the trial court next week and seek bail. The actress was present in court during the submission of the bail petition."
According to the case statement, on 19 July last year, protesters gathered in front of Vatara Police Station reportedly came under gunfire, resulting in Enamul Haque being shot in the leg.
Subsequently, Enamul filed a case with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court in Dhaka, naming 283 individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, as accused. Apu Biswas is listed as the 208th accused in the case.
