A Dhaka court today set 19 November for delivering the verdict against Md Manju in connection with the rape of a Dhaka University student.

On 5 January, the victim, a second-year student of Dhaka University, was picked up to a nearby bush after she got down from bus in the capital's Kurmitola area, where the rapist hit the girl and tried to kill after rape.

The next day, the victim's father filed the case with Cantonment Police Station, accusing unknown people.
