A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today detained casino kingpin Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat's associate Zakir Hossain from Bhola.
RAB-8 members detained Zakir, 45, and handed him over to Bhola Sadar Model Police Station on Wednesday afternoon.
RAB seized 1 pistol, 4 rounds of bullets, 4 bottles of foreign liquor and Tk1,160 in cash were also confiscated from the suspect.

"RAB lodged two separate cases under the Arms Act and the Narcotics Control Act with Bhola police station," Officer-in-Charge of Bhola Model Police Station Enayet Hossain said.

The absconding accused Zakir had been staying at his in-law's house in Bhola for the last ten days, OC Enayet added.
On Wednesday, RAB detained him from the Elisha Ferighat area while he was fleeing from Bhola.
