CA press secy shares what exactly happened at Khulna Press Club

After reports that Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam was confined by protesters at the Khulna Press Club (KPC) this afternoon (28 June), Shafiqul explained what exactly happened at the KPC today.
In a post on his verified Facebook account, he said protesters wanted to meet him to lodge their complaint.
The protesters were chanting slogans, demanding the resignation of the Khulna Metropolitan Police commissioner, he said.
"After my meeting with the KPC officials, I came downstairs to meet them. We patiently heard their complaints and assured them that we would convey their message to the authorities concerned. We had tea and biscuits. After about 30 minutes we left the KPC for Dhaka," he said.
Shafiqul said he went to Khulna today on a day-long trip along with two of his press team colleagues.
"We held a press briefing at the Khulna DC office. After the press meet, we visited Khulna University. Later, we stopped at the Khulna Press Club, which was set ablaze during the anti-Hasina mass uprising," he said.
When the KPC officials were showing them some of the torched rooms of the club, some 200 student protesters came to its compound with a procession, said the press secretary.
"I heard from journalists that they had been staging protests over the last three days," he added.
