No leniency for anyone in interest of national security: CA press secretary
He also noted that the chief adviser has warned of possible attempts to create unrest during the upcoming Durga Puja.

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has warned that no one will be shown even the slightest leniency when it comes to ensuring the country's overall security.
"When the fallen fascist forces see that the nation is moving towards elections and the trial of those involved in the July Uprising is progressing swiftly, they become reckless. They are deploying all their strength to destabilise peace and order.
"This is no longer merely a law and order issue – it has become a matter of national security. In the interest of the country's overall security, no concessions will be made," Shafiqul told a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka today (7 September).
He further noted that the government believes unity among political parties is necessary in the greater interest of the nation.
His remarks come following a meeting at the State Guest House Jamuna earlier in the day, held to review the prevailing security and law and order situation.
According to the press secretary, the meeting placed strong emphasis on maintaining political unity in the spirit of July and decided to take tougher measures against sudden processions and unlawful gatherings.
Highlighting the decisions taken during the meeting, Shafiqul reaffirmed the government's commitment to holding elections on time. "The election will be held in the first half of February. There is no force in the world that can delay it," he said.
He also noted that the chief adviser has warned of possible attempts to create unrest during the upcoming Durga Puja.
"Last year's experience of Puja security was good. The chief adviser stressed that this year, preparations must be made in advance so that no disorder occurs," Shafiqul said.
To preserve communal harmony, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has been instructed to hold meetings with different religion-based organisations. The religious affairs adviser will begin talks with various groups soon, he said.
The meeting also decided to continuously monitor the security situation, enhance coordination among law enforcement agencies, and keep the administration prepared in advance to handle any situation, he added.
In addition, the chief adviser has instructed the university administration to extend full cooperation to ensure that the Ducsu election is held in a peaceful and festive atmosphere, the press secretary told reporters.
Regarding the recent incident in Rajbari, Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said, "So far, seven people have been arrested. Among them, at least two are involved with local Awami League politics."
"Video footage is being reviewed, and police have confirmed that action will be taken against all those involved," he added.
