A bus caught fire in the Dholaipar area of the capital this evening (12 November).
According to Rozina Akter, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence's central control room, a call reporting the fire was received at 6:36pm.
Firefighters from the Postogola Fire Station rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the information.

She added that two units of the Postogola Fire Station were dispatched and managed to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire could not be determined immediately, said Rozina.
