Bus set on fire near Sony Cinema Hall in Mirpur
Golam Azam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shah Ali Police Station, said three individuals, posing as passengers, started the fire when the bus crossed Sony Cinema Hall.
Some unidentified individuals set fire to a bus of Shatabdi Paribahan near the Sony Cinema Hall in Dhaka's Mirpur-1 area today (12 November).
Rafi Al Faruq, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, said they received reports of the fire around 12:30pm, but the blaze was doused by locals before fire service personnel arrived at the spot.

They fled the scene immediately after igniting the blaze, he added.
"The fire was brought under control instantly," the OC said, adding that several front seats of the bus were damaged in the incident. No casualties were reported.
Earlier today (12 November), four individuals riding two motorcycles hurled petrol bombs at Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College on Iqbal Road in the capital.
No casualties or damage were reported in the incident, which occurred at around 12:05am, Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Rafiqul Ahmed confirmed.
According to police sources, the assailants arrived on two motorcycles and threw two petrol bombs targeting the school wall before fleeing the scene.
At Gazipur city's Basan and Kashimpur police station areas, some unidentified individuals set fire to four parked buses in separate incidents across Gazipur city's Basan and Kashimpur police station areas, as well as Sreepur upazila, and Ashulia late Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
According to police and Fire Service officials, the first incident occurred around 4:30am today (12 November) at Peyara Bagan area near Bhogra Bypass under Basan Police Station. Miscreants poured petrol on a VIP Paribahan bus parked by the Dhaka-Tangail highway and set it ablaze before fleeing the scene.
