Bangladesh Bank sets Ramadan office hours from 9:30am to 4pm
In a circular issued by the Department of off-site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank, today (18 February), the central bank also mentioned that transactions will continue from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
The Bangladesh Bank has fixed office hours for the upcoming month of Ramadan from 9:30am to 4pm.
In a circular, issued by the Department of off-site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank, today (18 February), the central bank also mentioned that transactions will continue from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
"There will be a short break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm for the johr [noon] prayer. During this period, transactions will be temporarily halted, though internal bank operations will continue to ensure smooth functioning," the circular stated.
"After the end of Ramadan, banking hours and transaction schedules will return to their regular timings. Normally, banking transactions take place from 10am to 4pm, with banks remaining open until 6pm for general services," it added.
