Ministerial names, photos appear on govt websites after new cabinet sworn in
A visit to the Cabinet Division’s website showed that the photo of former chief adviser Muhammad Yunus had been removed and replaced with the name and photograph of Tarique Rahman as prime minister.
Following the formation of the new cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, changes have begun on the websites of various ministries, divisions, departments and directorates.
A visit to various government websites today (17 February) shows that the names and photographs of newly appointed ministers have already been added to some of them.
Others are still being updated, making them temporarily inaccessible, while several sites continue to display the names and photos of the former advisers.
At 6pm, a visit to the Cabinet Division's website showed that the photo of former chief adviser Muhammad Yunus had been removed and replaced with the name and photograph of Tarique Rahman as prime minister.
However, a visit to the Ministry of Home Affairs website showed that the name and photograph of former adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury were still displayed.
The website of the Ministry of Shipping also continued to show the names and photos of former officials.
Meanwhile, several websites, including the Road Transport and Highways Division's, displayed neither names nor photographs, indicating that updates are currently in progress.
Earlier, around 4pm today, President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath to the members of the new cabinet at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
