Hasnat Abdullah wins in Cumilla-4 by margin of over 110,000 votes
With the inclusion of results from two more centres, Hasnat Abdullah has further extended his lead as vote counting continues.
Hasnat Abdullah, candidate of the 11-party alliance from the NCP, has secured victory in the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency, winning by a margin of more than 110,000 votes.
Hasnat, contesting with the electoral symbol water lily bud, received 166,583 votes. His nearest rival, Jasim Uddin, who ran with the Truck symbol, secured 49,885 votes. The margin of victory stood at 110,136 votes, according to unofficial results.
A total of 216,914 votes were cast in the constituency, with a voter turnout of 52.89%.
